SENIOR ATTORNEY/HEAD OF REGION Location: Chicago, Illinois Major national human resources/employee benefits consulting firm has recently created a new position in their Midwest regional headquarters located in Chicago. This is an opportunity to take over a thriving and expanding legal consulting practice and be the head the regional head. This firm currently has about ten office locations and about eight employee benefits attorneys in the region. This is a national practice in scope and the position reports to the National Practice Head for their legal and compliance advisory services practice. This practice has doubled in the last three years and the firm expects at least 50% more browth in the next 2-3 years. This is an opportunity to grow with them and offers unlimited professional and financial growth. You will be overseeing attorneys consulting in all aspects of qualified plan compiance and governance, drafting documents, administrative forms and reviewing client data for compliance reviews. You will also spearhead projects with a select few major clients throughout the region. You will also interact with regional and national practice leaders to keep them informed of major projects and work with them on new business development. We are looking for a benefits lawyer with the ability to deliver professional communications to internal colleagues and external clients. Extensive knowledge of employee benefits, IRC, ERISA and other relevant laws and regulations is a must. Law firm and/or consulting firm background is a big plus. Current as of March 14, 2009.) This is a small and growing office that has the potential to be one of their most profitable offices in the region. We are looking for a credentialed actuary(ASA/EA) (FSA/EA) with consulting experience to help this small office build and grow their retirement plans consulting group. The position reports to the head of the office. You would take over an existing book of mostly corporate business and grow it from there. . This is a lead role in a small and growing office with lots of visibility and potential. This firm has an excellent compensation and incentive package. They also have an excellent reputation. We prefer someone in the local market although the firm would consider relocating someone with ties to the area. This is a unique situation for someone who feels they have little opportunity to move into a lead position yet believes they are ready for a practice leadership role. HEALTH BENEFITS CONSULTANT Location: New York Metro Mid-sized national employee benefits consulting firm has just created a new position in their health and welfare plans benefits practice in the NY/NJ/CT area. This region has been expanding their client base and continues to grow in the Northeast offering the opportunity to grow with them. We are looking for a group health plans specialist with a good financial background, knowledge of plan pricing, funding and design to help the firm expand their consulting practice with existing pension plan clients. The firm services major corporations, non profits and public sector plans in the region. They offer excellent technical support and actuarial services along with a collegial, team-oriented environment. Position can be located in any of their three Metro NY offices. They also offer an excellent compensation package including bonuses and other incentive compensation. We are looking for a mid-level to senior-level consultant who has client management experience and demonstrated ability to sell new business services. You will work with senior consultants and practice leaders of other disciplines to generate new buisness for the Health and Welfare practice as well as manage client engagements. CEBS or actuarial credentials would be a plus. This is one of the few firms in the country that is currently adding to their staff in this down economy which says a lot for how successful they have been in the past few years. This is an opportunity to join an expanding and profitable practice and take on major client responsibility. Assignments may include plan design for DB, DC and Retiree Medical. Compliance and adminstration of large retirement plans. Retirement risk solution analyses. You will be working in an environment that tends to grow high-performance retirement consultants into client management and executive management positions within the firm. This is also an opportunity to work with and learn from some of the top retirement plans consultants in the region and enhance your business development skills. You will also have the opportunity to interact with and learn from colleagues in other practices on global assignments. The compensation is structured around a significant base plus bonus pay-outs that reward performance. We are looking for an FSA/EA (ASA/EA) with at least five(5) years of experience in delivering retirement consulting services along with good communication skills.
